How It Works
Rules of Participation
At First Goal Contest, we’re all about fun, fairness, and community.
To keep things exciting for everyone, we’ve set a few rules to ensure a level playing field. Here’s everything you need to know.
RULES- Guess which player will score the first goal of the game.
- Submit your guess in the comments of the official game post before the game starts (entries close at the scheduled puck-drop time).
- One guess per game, per person. Multiple guesses in the same post will not be counted.
POINTS & PRIZES- Earn 1 point for each correct guess.
- The person with the most points at the end of December 2024 wins a Calgary Flames jersey.
- Tie-breakers may include bonus prediction rounds or trivia.
- Monthly or bonus prizes may be introduced later to keep things exciting.
FAIR PLAY- Cheating (e.g., multiple accounts, bots) will result in disqualification and a ban.
- Organizers will monitor entries to ensure fair play.
PRIZE REDEMPTION:- Winners will be contacted via Facebook. Proof of residency and age may be required.
- Prizes must be claimed within 14 days of notification, or they will be forfeited.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:- Keep comments respectful and avoid game spoilers to enhance the experience for all participants.
- This contest is meant to make the game more fun, so enjoy yourself and cheer for your team!
ELIGIBILITY- Open to Canadian residents aged 19+.
- One account per person. Proof of residency and age may be required for prize redemption.
DISPUTES- All decisions made by the contest organizers regarding point allocation or rule interpretation are final.

Cheating and Disqualification
To keep the competition fair, we have a zero-tolerance policy for:
- Bots or Automation: Using software to manipulate the system.
- Fake Accounts: Creating multiple accounts to gain an advantage.
- Dishonest Participation: Misusing the platform or exploiting loopholes.
Violating these rules will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any rewards.
Tie-Breakers and Winner Selection
In the event of a tie, additional challenges may be issued to determine the winner. These challenges could include:
- Bonus prediction rounds.
- Trivia questions related to your favorite teams or community.
Prizes and Rewards
- Monthly Rewards:
Top leaderboard participants at the end of each month receive exclusive prizes, such as tickets or merchandise. - Quarterly Rewards:
The leaderboard resets quarterly, offering fresh opportunities to win even bigger prizes. - Yearly Rewards:
Stay consistent and claim the top spot for ultimate bragging rights and grand rewards.
